What Makes Us Different?

In a global market there are few remaining trade secrets that give one a strategic advantage. We have found one under-utilized secret that continues to give strategic advantage; it is unleashing the full potential of all people. We believe that to truly deliver step change, sustainable results in diversity and inclusion you must reach individuals at the heart level. Organizations have been making great progress in the field of diversity and inclusion, learning to unleash the power of all individuals within their organizations. But studies show that even the best organizations are still only capitalizing on 60-70% of the talent of their people.

Our unique, transformational workshops are designed to drive step-change, sustained commitment to diversity and inclusion from all individuals within your organization. These transformational workshops provide in-depth learning and focus on the role every one of us has in breaking down barriers, no matter who we are. We make inclusion not about “us” and “them” but about “all of us” and the role each of us plays in making the workplace a genuinely inclusive place to be. We move people beyond the practical understanding of diversity and inclusion to truly understanding at the heart level the powerful difference an inclusive workplace can provide.

Legacy's History

Legacy Unlimited’s signature program offerings, the “Women Supporting Women©” (WSW©) and “People Supporting People©” (PSP©) workshops, were created in 1991 within Procter & Gamble(P&G). WSW© and PSP© became P&G’s top corporate initiative in 1999 and continues as its top corporate initiative today. This initiative is designed to drive diversity and inclusion progress, leadership development, cultural change, and globalization and business success. P&G has spent $17million dollars on this initiative since 1991 and continues spending $1.2 million per year.

In 2005, the then Global Leader for these programs, Ms. Denise Andrews, left P&G to found Legacy Unlimited. Based on her extensive history and success with these programs, Procter &Gamble chose Legacy Unlimited to be the exclusive provider for delivering their breakthrough WSW© / PSP© courses externally.

Procter & Gamble’s research found that for every 1,000 people trained, they realized $45 million(USD) per year in savings. These savings resulted from participants’ improvements in productivity, more effective relationships with co-workers, improved retention, and risk reduction.

In addition they gained:

  • Deeper insights to meet local and global consumer needs
  • Improved innovation
  • Improved integration of acquisitions
  • Improved utilization, retention, and productivity
  • A stronger pool of diverse executives
  • Increased leadership mastery and passion to unleash personal and collective potential
  • More people positioned to be great leaders
  • Improved and sustained results

These workshops continue to see tremendous success and have now been brought to over 8,000 people in more than 103 countries. They have been successfully conducted in the United States, Canada, Japan, France, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Belgium, Switzerland, China, Mexico, Venezuela, Korea, Egypt, Poland, Lebanon, Morocco, Argentina, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Romania, the U.A.E, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Hungary and Brazil.

While WSW© / PSP© remain Legacy Unlimited’s signature offerings, we have now expanded well beyond these offerings to include a full complement of diversity and inclusion programs, leadership development, as well as consulting services.

Cultural Intelligence, Effective Engagement©

Today it is common that organizational teams and business units have numerous cultures represented. In general, there is not an adequate understanding or interest to learn, engage and synergize across cultures. This missed opportunity minimizes innovation, productivity, performance and fulfillment.

Some examples of the various cultures present within teams and organizational units are: national, ethnic, generational or corporate (resulting from mergers and acquisitions). Without investment in building cross-cultural intelligence and engagement skills the full potential of individuals and teams will not be realized. The negative affect from under-realization of multicultural teams is enormous. Solutions that will accelerate profitability, growth, sustainability, and innovation will not surface or be realized. Individuals will miss the richness that comes from knowing, respecting and appreciating these differences. Global leaders possessing requisite skills will not be developed and available to lead our organizations.

Legacy Unlimited has designed this program that allows individuals to connect with others and themselves. Participants will learn about and share their cultures, preferences, and blind spots. Together, participants will recognize the interesting commonalities, wonderful differences and the amazing potential that is found by effectively and intelligently engaging.

This flexible experiential training can be offered in various program lengths, ranging from a 4-hour session to a 2-day session.

"In a world of diversity, people have different ranges of hearing. Our perception of the world is affected by what we hear. We may perceive only in part as we listen to one another, and there may be more to a person's story than we are aware of. Certainly our range of understanding expands as we trust in love to guide us. As we reflect/pray, trust, and become more aware of life's lessons in each experience, we appreciate one another's ideas, words, and actions. Our relationships flourish. Our work is like play. Our homes overflow with laughter. We not only hear one another, we understand, appreciate, and support whatever heals our hearts and brings greater harmony to our relationships. "If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all."
-Romans 12:18 Daily Word

“What are our children learning about others in our world….it depends on what you are teaching them.”
